The Aruval symbolizes Karuppanar himself and is the very significant weapon in Tamilnadu. Some Aruvals may even reach the height of 5 feet, especially the ones in Thiruppaachhi.

Karuppasamy kovil or shrine is usually in the form of open space and will not have any traditional Gopurams like other temples. You can also see the statues of other goddesses like 7 Kannimaar - Saptha Kanniyar (7 virgins) and animals like a hunting dog – Vettai Naai, a lion and a white horse and other weapons along with the idol of lord Karuppusami.

To the worshippers, the priest here offers flowers or Vibhuti (holy ash).
Enga Karuppasamy
The most famous temple for Karuppasamy is located at Azhaghar Kovil, near Madurai. Here he is worshipped as Pathinettampadi Karuppannaswamy. There is no idol here. Only an Aruval placed at the top of 18 holy steps. Hence it named Pathinettampadi.

He is also called as The Dark God in reference to that he driving away all the dark forces of evil and falsehood.

Vittu Vidu Karuppa
During the annual gatherings, a large number of goats and chicken are sacrificed for the lord Karuppasamy. He is also offered with Beedis (country made cigarettes) or cigars and a glass of wine or other alcoholic drinks.
Chinna Karuppu
The Instrument Which liked by God Karuppasamy are Tappu, Tharai, Pambai, Udukkai and Urumee. Arul vaaku or Saamiyaaduthal is the belief system and it is held in several parts of Tamil Nadu. The social issues will be discussed through these temple fore-tellers (also called as Kodangi).
